Welcome to FOMIR

Ergonomic solutions for industry in line with the principles of Lean Production.

The Lean Production è un approccio produttivo che punta a eliminare gli sprechi e ottimizzare i flussi di lavoro per creare più valore con meno risorse.

At Fomir, a company based in the province of Bologna, we have been designing ergonomic and lean logistics solutions that facilitate material handling and assembly operations for more than forty years.

Our solutions enhance operator efficiency, safety, and comfort, while fully adhering to ergonomic standards and lean manufacturing principles.

Our goal is to transform production environments into safe, functional, and sustainable spaces that can quickly adapt to change and promote the continuous optimisation of production processes.

1.

Experience, innovation and continuous improvement

With over forty years of experience, we are the benchmark for companies seeking ergonomic and industrial intralogistics solutions. Our history has enabled us to thoroughly understand the production requirements and day-to-day challenges faced by manufacturing companies.

Experience at the service of innovationEvery project stems from listening to our customers and our ability to transform our know-how into innovative, tailor-made solutions that are perfectly integrated into workflows.

Continuous improvement as a philosophy: We embrace Kaizen, the core principle of Lean Production. For us, improvement is a continuous process: every solution is designed to be adaptable and optimisable over time, supporting the evolution of companies in an ever-changing market.

2.

Our mission

Our mission is clear and ambitious: to transform production environments into spaces where efficiency, safety, and operator well-being coexist in perfect harmony. We firmly believe that productivity should never be achieved at the expense of people's health and comfort. For this reason, each of our solutions is built upon the integration of three fundamental pillars:

• Advanced ergonomics: We design workstations and handling systems that reduce physical strain, prevent musculoskeletal disorders, and enhance operator well-being.
• Elimination of waste: We rigorously adhere to Lean Production principles to minimise downtime, eliminate unnecessary movements, and reduce operational inefficiencies.
• Value creation: Every intervention is aimed at generating more value with fewer resources, optimising processes without compromising quality.

Our ultimate goal is to create sustainable work environments where people can express their full potential in optimal conditions of safety and comfort.

3.

Strategic partner for Lean Production

We are more than just an industrial equipment supplier: we are a strategic partner who supports companies on their journey to operational excellence, guided by the principles of lean manufacturing.

Deep understanding of Lean: For us, Lean Production is a true management philosophy. We understand its complexity and know how to transform theoretical principles into practical solutions that can be implemented immediately.

Integrated solutions for continuous flow: Our solutions facilitate material handling, the implementation of pull and just-in-time systems, lreduce setup times, optimize production spaces, and standardize operations.

Collaborative approach: We work closely with our customers, analysing processes and co-designing tailor-made solutions.

Flexibility and adaptability: We design modular and reconfigurable systems, designed to adapt quickly to market changes without starting from scratch.

4.

People, sustainability and innovation

We believe that the success of a manufacturing company stems from the well-being of its people, environmental responsibility, and ongoing innovation.

Focus on people: Operators are the real capital of the company. Our ergonomic solutions aim to reduce fatigue, prevent injuries, improve the quality of working life and make operations more intuitive and safer. An operator who works well is more productive, more attentive to quality and less prone to absenteeism.

Environmental and economic sustainability: The Lean approach we adopt is sustainable by nature: it reduces waste, optimises space, extends the life cycle of equipment and uses robust, recyclable materials. Creating more value with fewer resources means making a concrete contribution to the sustainability of the company and the environment.

IResponsible technological innovation: We continuously invest in research and development to integrate advanced technologies into our solutions and new components of the Easysae® System. Easysae® system.
