History

Fomir was founded in 1978 as the representative in Emilia-Romagna of gear tooling machines and robotized machining cells. Mid-80’s we switched our core business activity to the automation field strengthening our presence as reliable partners capable of meeting the most demanding requirements for assembly and testing processes. Towards the end of the 90s we started manufacturing ergonomic work tables designed to provide the correct solution for manual assembly tasks. The supply of high quality products at very competitive prices has enabled us to increase our sales and widen our range of products to better meet the needs of our customers. Over the years we have acquired considerable knowledge and understanding of our customers’ assembly problems and are acknowledged by many as an experienced partner. As a matter of fact we are partnering with key Italian and foreign manufacturers that are committed to assembly and testing technology and that appointed us as their sole agent not only for some Italian regions but also for Germany.

Activity

The Fomir’s sales force team is made up of a Sales Director, two Area Managers (one for Italy and one for the foreign markets) and several agents and dealers located through out Italy, Germany and France.

Throughout the years, we gained a high reputation for our expertise in the assembly and testing techniques and more in general in the process automation. We are firmly committed to customer satisfaction. Our customer-driven approach mainly consists in the analysis of the problem with the customer and in gathering all available information. After that we submit a technical proposal to be further discussed with the customer till the final non-binding offer is issued.
